What People Say!

As a new believer finding a Bible believing church was very important to my family.   We visited several churches that were true to God’s word in their teaching however, they were not a fit for my family.  We were looking for a church where we could build relationships.  When we came to Alta Canyon Baptist Church we were welcomed warmly and by the end of our first Sunday we felt like we were where we belonged and we had found our home.  As we continued to attend, I found I could not wait for Sunday to come back around so that I could continue to learn more about God’s word and grow in my relationship with the Lord.  Pastor Tim teaches the Bible by breaking scripture down verse by verse and giving a little background and historical information to enhance our knowledge and understanding.  Questions are welcomed and answered in depth and without judgement, no question is insignificant.  I can honestly say coming to Alta Canyon changed my life and continues to change my life.

We have been at Alta Canyon for a little over 2 years. When we moved to Salt Lake from St George, we were trying to find a church that taught the Gospel of Jesus Christ and one that would make us feel welcome.  We had tried several, but each one seemed to be missing something!
From the moment we walked through the doors at Alta, we have felt welcome, loved and felt that this was where we should be! We love to hear Pastor Tim preach the word of God! My kids enjoy the youth group, and my daughter loves to participate in the worship.
We praise God that He brought us here and pray that we are here for a long time!

There are so many things I love about Alta Canyon, one of them is the pastor-he speaks the Word of God from the Bible only. I love the small church that we have it's a family church. I love the Sunday school Bible study. I went to a very large church for 8 years and I believe smaller churches really helps a person to get much closer to the Jesus Christ. I just love so many things about it.
